ABOUT
The CREATE Medical Scholars is a unique program for MS1 students at UC San Diego’s School of Medicine that offers additional training in cancer and cancer health outcomes topics via a summer research and shadowing experience with a diverse multidisciplinary cohort of cancer providers within the UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center.
PROGRAM BENEFITS
- Receive a $5,000 stipend to work on a summer-long cancer-related research experience.
- Shadow cancer providers in the UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center.
- Receive funding to present your research at a national conference.
- Present your research at the UCSD SOM Annual Summer Research Symposium.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Students must:
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
- Be an MS1 student at UC San Diego’s School of Medicine.
- Have an interest in cancer and cancer health outcomes.
