ABOUT
The CREATE Graduate Scholars is a two-year program for SDSU, UCSD, and SDSU-UCSD joint doctoral students working on a CREATE-supported research project or with CREATE Partnership-affiliated faculty mentors in a cancer-related research project. Our program offers doctoral students financial support and resources to prepare scholars for careers in cancer research, cancer outcomes, and cancer prevention.
PROGRAM BENEFITS
- Receive a $5,000 per year stipend (up to two years) to work on a cancer research project with an SDSU or UCSD faculty mentor affiliated with the CREATE Partnership or in a CREATE-supported research project.
- Receive funding to present your research at a national or regional conference.
- Assistance in identifying scholarships, fellowships, and other funding opportunities.
- Professional Development Opportunities such as workshops, retreats, etc.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Students must:
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
- Be a doctoral student enrolled in an SDSU, UCSD, or SDSU-UCSD joint program, working on a cancer-related research project with a CREATE-affiliated faculty member or in a CREATE-supported research project.
- Have an interest in cancer and cancer health outcomes.
