Our Mission is to provide a coordinated array of resources that will support the scientific and professional development of early-stage investigator (ESI) faculty from SDSU and UCSD.
TALENT directly supports promising young cancer researchers in diverse disciplines through innovative evidence-based activities which seek to optimize ESI connectedness to academia and facilitate successful receipt of extramural funding. We aim to directly benefit faculty at SDSU and UCSD, and serve as a blueprint for other institutions seeking to support and advance the careers of underrepresented faculty.
The TALENT Shared Resource Core is co-directed by John Crockett, PhD, Associate Vice President of Research Advancement and James Murphy, MD, Professor, UC San Diego Department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences.
The Program Contact is the TALENT Core Coordinator Brittni Abasta. You can reach her at babasta@sdsu.edu.
